Second competition of the season

The PWA reveals a new champion for the 2006 Red Bull Storm Rider.

After a week waiting for good conditions to begin the competition, 25 to 30 (nodes) wind and 3 meters high waves arrived in the bay. Final takes place between Arnon Dagan and a Dutch "Dutchman" Ben van der Steen. Dutchman sponsored by Neil Pryde take the best on Arnon Dagan sponsored by Fanatic and Neil Pryde.

Cyril Moussilmani missed the 3rd place taken by Eyal Shelef from Israel. The podium ends with two Israelis but no Kauli Seadi or Ricardo Campello.

Despite a competition managed by the PWA, the possibility of creating a marina is still a possibility.

Next PWA meeting will be in Hawaii in March, everybody will be here but the location is a bit too far this time!

End of the windsurf challenge in Marocco. Communication on this event wasn't big enough. Advertisements on Wind were set up too late for this event (February). This event had a blog, which was a good idea even if the last entry was last Wednesday. Don't be too harsh on this because events like this are really exciting!

What's the news ?

Competitors arrived on the 2nd and the first heat took place on Saturday, 4th of February. Vistor Fernandez, Boujmaa Guilloul, Ricardo Campello, Fabrice Beaux, Marcilio Neto and Kauli Seadi were already qualified for the semi finals. The final took place between Victor Boujmaa and Kauli, Kauli won followed naturally by Boujmaa and the third place went to Victor Fernandez.

This week ends up with surf because of a lack of wind ! Next windsurf challenge meeting will be in Indonesia in May.
