Compétition 2006 Red Bull Storm Rider

This competition, organised by the PWA and Red Bull, will held from the 1st to the 7th of February. This event exists since 2003 and takes place in the Mediterranean Sea.

Spot's name is Bat Galim Beach and is situated in Haïfa, Israel. This spot is wedge between mountains and resulting winds are side shore and side offshore, which offer every year a great show.

This event is open for men and waveriders. Winner earns 10 000€. During this competition, wind often reaches the 25 nodes and waves can be of 3 meters high. For the story, few years ago, the Bat Galim beach was supposed to be destroyed and a marina built instead. But the PWA succeeds in stopping the project. Isn't it great?

A spot can't be famous without the coming of international level riders. Josh Angulo and Kevin Mevissen supported the development of this one.
